Alarms

On Magic Pixel you can set two types of alarms for your tags

  1. Tag Anamoly Detection Alarm

  2. Tag Expiry Alarm

Tag Anomaly Detection Alarm

A tag anomaly alarm is used to detect and alert users if there is any significant deviation or abnormal activity of the tag events. On Magic Pixel, you can set up tag anomaly alarms for specific tags, providers or other attributes.

Setting up a tag anomaly detection alarm

Step 1: In the alarms section, click on "Add Alarm" on the top right and select "Add Tag Anomaly Detection Alarm"

Step 2: Give a name and description to your new tag detection anomaly alarm

Step 3: You can now choose the sensitivity of the alarm. Sensitivity defines how much deviation is acceptable for your requirement. You can choose between "High", "Medium" or "Low" sensitivity and also set up the preferred timings in which you want this alarm to be detecting.

Step 4: You can also set up filters to make your alarm more specific based on parameters or fields like tag, providers, device type, etc.

Step 5: Finally, set up the notifications group. As in, select user groups or individuals to whom alerts should be sent when a tag anomaly is detected. Now save and your tag anomaly detection alarm is live.

Tag Expiration Alarm

A tag expiration alarm is essentially used to alert the selected user or user groups when a tag approaches its expiry.

Creating a tag expiration alarm

Step 1: In the alarms section, click on "Add Alarm" on the top right and select "Add Tag Expiration Alarm"

Step 2: Give a name and description to your new tag expiration alarm

Step 3: Set up the number of days before the expiry that you wish to be alerted (Example: 30 days before expiry)

Step 4: Finally, set up the notifications group. As in, select user groups or individuals to whom alerts should be sent when a tag approaches expiration. Now save and your tag expiration alarm is live.

This is how you set up both the Tag Anomaly Detection and Tag Expiration Alarms on Magic Pixel.
